Day 01- Your Favorite Song
After Hours- We Are Scientists
This is hard to do. For so many reasons but the main one being that my favorite song changes daily. So I decided to go with my favorite over the longest span of time. It has come and gone and come back. So for me, that is standing the test of time.
I first heard this song my senior year in high school the day I got my acceptance letter to SCAD and the day after I had quit softball for good. That night, like every weekend night me and my friends went driving around and playing games like remember when while drinking Sonic cokes and listening to top 40’s music.
When I went home I wished the night hadn’t ended so soon, because I knew everything would be changing soon as we all went our separate ways. But listening to that song reminded me that tomorrow would hold more of the same with those people and that I’d stay as long as I could.
Plus, now that I’m a senior in art school I am soaking up so many hours that other people throw away with sleep. And this song always manages to keep me company.
